Patterson: I knew about sting Says he was trying to prove government was out to get him

Saying he acted as a "sacrificial lamb," freed Death Row inmateAaron Patterson claimed Wednesday he and up to seven others knew of afederal sting to arrest him on gun and drug charges because agovernment informant tipped him off.

In an interview at the Metropolitan Correctional Center, Pattersonsaid he went along with the sting and told several others --including an attorney -- that he documented FBI surveillance allalong and planned to expose the government for allegedly trying toset him up.
